Our mission

We believe privacy is a right, not a privilege. We’re building the tools to defend it.

Your name, address, phone number and family details are quietly bought and sold every day by hundreds of data brokers. We exist to put that power back where it belongs: with you. ProtectMyData does the slow, technical work of finding your information, getting it removed, and keeping it that way.

Trusted by members across 150+ countries

    Our story

    Born from a personal need.

Our founders found their own personal information scattered across hundreds of data brokers. Home addresses, phone numbers, family member names, income estimates. All of it publicly listed and available to anyone willing to pay a few pounds.

Opting out manually was a grind. Every data broker had its own process, its own forms, its own verification steps. Some demanded ID documents. Others sent confirmation emails that never arrived. And even when a removal went through, the data was back within months, repopulated from public records and other brokers.

We built ProtectMyData to handle the whole problem. Not just the first removal, but every re-listing that follows. We submit requests, chase non-responders, and keep monitoring so you never have to think about it.

    What ProtectMyData is

    A privacy service, not a one-time scrub.

Plenty of tools will run a single sweep, send a batch of opt-out requests, and call the job done. We do not. Data brokers rebuild your profile from public records and other brokers within months, so a one-off scrub buys you a few weeks of quiet and very little else.

ProtectMyData is built as an ongoing service. We submit, chase, verify, and resubmit on your behalf every month. You sign up once, and the work of keeping your personal information off 550+ data brokers becomes our problem, not yours.

    Built for

People who would rather not be findable.

You do not have to be famous to want privacy. Most of the people we protect are simply tired of seeing their personal details show up in places they never agreed to.

    • People receiving scam calls and spam
    • People worried about doxxing or stalking
    • Public-facing professionals such as teachers, healthcare workers, and judges
    • Anyone affected by a data breach, leaked passwords, or stolen credentials

    How we do it

    The mechanics behind the service.

Three things we run in the background, every day, so your data stays off the open market.

A magnifying glass scanning across a small stack of data broker records.

Continuous scanning across 550+ data brokers

We sweep the same data brokers, people-search sites, and aggregators on a continuous schedule, so a new listing never sits there for long.

A blank legal document with a small shield seal next to a gavel.

    Removal requests with legal weight

Every request we send invokes the right of erasure under UK GDPR, EU GDPR, or CCPA. Data brokers know what we are asking for, and that we know our footing.

A radar dish with a refresh arrow watching a ring of data points for re-listings.

    Re-listing detection and automatic resubmission

When a previously removed listing reappears, we catch it on the next sweep and resubmit the request automatically, no nudge from you required.

    FAQ

    Questions people ask
    before signing up.

Yes. We are fully independent, with zero data broker partnerships or affiliations, so we answer only to our members. Most members see their listings start to disappear from data brokers within the first few weeks. After a few months, members typically notice fewer spam calls, fewer scam emails, and a much harder time being looked up online. We keep working in the background for as long as you are a member.

ProtectMyData is available worldwide. We work for members in 150+ countries today, with active removal across 550+ data brokers in every major jurisdiction (UK, EU, US, Canada, and beyond). If a data broker can list you, we will work to remove you, regardless of where you live.

Three plans, all with monthly or annual billing. Annual saves around 50% versus monthly. Basic covers one person, Pro adds advanced removal, and Family covers up to five people under one subscription. Full pricing is on the pricing page.

We only ask for the details we need to find you on data brokers and prove who you are when we send removal requests. Typically that is your name, address, date of birth, and any old addresses or aliases you would like covered. We never sell, share, or use your information for advertising. We use it to remove you, and that is it.

No. We never sell your data, we never share it with advertisers, and we never use it to profile you. Your information is used to remove you from data brokers. Full stop.

You can do this yourself. Most people do it once, give up after a few weekends, and watch the data come back within months. We handle the whole loop on a continuous schedule, so you sign up once and stop thinking about it.
